Tori Darke and Brad Butcher have officially released their cover of the Fleetwood Mac classic, The Chain.
The pair originally performed the song on The Voice Australia earlier this year. If you watched the performance, there’s a good chance you wanted to hear more than a minute of the duo singing such an iconic song. Now, you can listen to them sing the entire song.
With Darke’s sweet vocals layered beside Butcher’s huskier range, the pair showcase why it was an ingenious idea for coach LeAnn Rimes to make them a duo on the show. They stay close to the Fleetwood Mac song—with the driving bass-driven bridge—with their voices and unique energy, making for a fresh take on a song that’s been covered many times.
“So incredibly proud to have this track out in the world; what a journey this year has been so far. This is just the beginning,” Darke teased on her Instagram this week, sharing a snippet of the cover.
“Huge shoutout to the incredible team who helped us pull this together so quickly, we hope y’all love it.”
Sharing the release date of The Chain, Butcher said: “When we signed up for The Voice Australia not in a million years would I have predicted what happen. So we’re going with the flow here and we release our version of The Chain on November 14.”
