Morgan Wallen is releasing his new album, I’m The Problem, next month.
Despite the short album rollout, the Last Night singer has been teasing plenty, dropping snippets of unreleased music on social media and hinting that he’ll work with a mystery female singer.
Fans have tried to guess who the mystery singer will be all month, throwing out names including Lainey Wilson, Ella Langley, Carrie Underwood, Kelsea Ballerini, H.E.R., Carly Pearce, Miley Cyrus, Elle King, Miranda Lambert, Megan Moroney, and even Taylor Swift.
But Wallen has chosen a pop artist: Tate McRae.
This week, the Canadian singer-songwriter posted a photo of herself wearing an orange jersey on her Instagram Stories.
While the large “T8” is unmistakable on the middle of the shirt, if you peek closer at the neckline, you see the “MW” logo, matching the font on Morgan Wallen’s website. The Club Wallen Instagram account confirmed the teaser; now, her name is on the tracklist.
Tate McRae features on the song What I Want. Throughout the 37-song album, Wallen has also locked in collaborations with Eric Church, HARDY, ERNEST, and Post Malone. The latter artist appears on the song I Ain’t Coming Back, which will be released this Friday (18 April).
Eric Church features on the song Number 3 And Number 7, ERNEST on The Dealer, and HARDY on the already-teased Come Back As A Redneck. You can pre-order/pre-save I’m The Problem here.
