NQ's Rock'n Country is now accepting entries for its 2023 Reboot Competition.
According to the website, Reboot is a “unique competition offering an opportunity for Australian country music artists to move forward on a world class platform. The competition will target exceptionally talented artists, who have put their careers on hold, are lacking confidence to be involved in the industry, with the uncertainty and risk to solely focus on their music career, following so many unexpected challenges.”
Three finalists will be chosen by selected leading artists and influencers within the industry. They will get the opportunity to open the main stage at NQ’s Rock’n Country 2023 with a 30-minute set across the three-day festival (1st – Sunday, 2nd – Saturday and 3rd – Friday).
In addition to opening the main stage on their day of the festival, each winner will also win flights and accommodation for two people to Mackay, VIP tickets for two people to NQ's Rock'n Country, NQ's Rock'n Country merchandise, photo shoot (for advertising and social media), personalised merchandise kit (with artist logo) and more.
Additionally, the first-place winner will receive a recording session (one original song) and flights to Nashville to record a song with Ken Royster.
To apply, applicants are required to upload a video onto Instagram tagging @nqs_rockn_country of themselves performing an original OR cover song, with a short introduction and why they are applying. Terms and conditions are available here.
Sister duo, Ella & Sienna were crowned winners of the 2022 Reboot Competition.
They shared on Facebook, “We are here on Nashville’s music row at Ken Royster’s recording studio recording our original music and having an awesome time…. We’re so thankful we took the risk and entered as this is the opportunity of a lifetime and it’s taken our music career to a whole new level."
