Keith Urban To Be Inducted Into The Golden Guitars’ Roll Of Renown

Keith Urban is about to receive another honour: this weekend, he’ll be inducted into the prestigious Roll of Renown at the 53rd Golden Guitar Awards.

The news was announced by the Tamworth Regional Council today. Peter Ross, the Executive Producer of the Toyota Golden Guitar Awards, said of inducting Urban: “Keith’s influence on the global country music scene is on-going and immeasurable.

“His dedication to the genre, his boundary-pushing artistry, and his unwavering commitment to music make him a natural choice for the Roll of Renown.”

The Tamworth Country Music Festival Manager, Barry Harley, added: “Keith Urban embodies the essence of the Tamworth Country Music Festival. His journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, passion, and talent.”

Urban will be inducted into the Roll of Renown this Saturday, 25 January, during this year’s Golden Guitar Awards ceremony. On the night, he’ll also claim the Top Selling Australian Country Album award for his latest full-length release, HIGH, which reached #1 in Australia.

Keith Urban has experienced the music career of every country singer’s dreams. Since his beginnings of busking at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, he got involved in the event’s Talent Quest and won the Star Maker competition at the age of 22.

Urban is now a global icon who has won four Grammy Awards, thirteen CMAs, fifteen ACMs, fifteen Golden Guitar Awards, six ARIA Awards, and three AMAs. He has also been inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and is a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

In addition to critical acclaim and sold-out shows, Urban has showcased the diversity of his range by collaborating with everyone from Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Vince Gill, and Eric Church to P!nk, Post Malone, the Rolling Stones, and Taylor Swift.

The Roll of Renown, established in 1976, has inducted Slim Dusty, Kasey Chambers, John Williamson, Joy McKean, Beccy Cole, Troy Cassar-Daley, and many others.
