Countrytown Hot 50 Of 2024 Revealed

This year has been a wild ride in country music and the Countrytown Hot 50 has been there plotting the course every Friday, powered by data from Radio Monitor. But now we’re at the pointy end, who had the biggest hit of 2024?

In what won’t be a big surprise, the top of the dias this year is Shaboozey with inescapable A Bar Song (Tipsy). The track was a huge crossover success, taking over the airways on mainstream radio, but it also managed to snag the top spot on country radio in a stellar year for the singer.

It was, however, a close run thing with Dasha taking the runner up honours with her monster single Austin (Boots Stop Workin’).

Thirteen Aussies also made the list this year, with the biggest Aussie hit going to Darlinghurst with their comeback hit Unapologetic. Honourable mentions go to Casey Barnes, Lane Pittman, Taylor Moss and Keith Urban who scored two entries each in the list.

Morgan Wallen took out the gong for most entries, scoring three hits with Lies Lies Lies, Spin You Around and Thinkin’ Bout Me as well as a fourth appearance alongside Post Malone on I Had Some Help, his highest entry at #8. Double shots also went to Bailey Zimmerman, Lainey Wilson and Tyler Hubbard, while Luke Combs appeared once solo as well as together with Post Malone.
