Alabama-based emerging country singer Austin Tanner could soon be arrested after he violated his bond to attend the CMAs last week.

A judge issued an arrest warrant for Tanner as he reportedly violated bail conditions by travelling to Nashville for the awards.

People reports that an Alabama judge issued an arrest warrant for the All We Need singer on Tuesday (26 November) after he and his wife, Skyla, attended the award ceremony without first asking permission from the court.

According to court documents seen by People, the singer was indicted on fraud and theft charges earlier this year.

In April, a grand jury indicted Tanner on two counts of first-degree insurance fraud, theft, and attempted robbery. He was released on a $20,000 bond. Tanner was aware of his bail conditions and was given permission from a judge to travel to Florida in June.

Tanner was due to appear in a deposition hearing on 21 November, but the hearing was “abruptly rescheduled” as he attended the CMAs.

Tanner wasn’t invited to the CMA ceremony itself. However, after attending, he wrote on Instagram: “First CMA Awards. Last night was nothing short of magical as we walked the red carpet at the CMA Awards. This moment marked a dream come true!”

He added, “To everyone who has supported my music and believed in this dream your encouragement has brought me to this unforgettable moment. Here’s to country music and the stories that bring us all together.”

Tanner hasn’t made a public statement about the arrest warrant.

The singer’s next hearing is set to take place on Wednesday, 4 December.
