Cole Swindell is preparing to release a new album. This week, he announced the impending release of his fifth full-length, Spanish Moss.
The album is set for release on Friday, 27 June – only three months away – and you can check out the title track below.
Swindell also unveiled the 21-song tracklist, featuring titles such as Kill A Prayer, Dirty Dancing, Georgia (Ain’t On Her Mind), Bottom Of It, Country Boy Can’t Survive, Happy Hour Sad, ’99 Problems, and more.
Revealing that Spanish Moss has been a work in progress for over two years, Swindell admitted that he knew it would be difficult to follow up on Stereotype, “but sometimes a challenge can be motivating and exactly what’s needed to grow.”
He said in a statement, “For me, the album-making process has always had a common theme: the best song wins. Although it's never that simple. Life has changed a lot for me in the best way since the last project, and I wanted to be able to write and sing about those blessings while also not forgetting where I came from and the pain from the past.”
After discussing some of the emotions throughout the songs on the album, Swindell continued, “From working with Songwriters and Producers I had never worked with to going back to the drawing board more times than I care to mention, I think having that patience and taking those chances really made this project what it was always meant to be and unlike anything I've ever done.
“I can't wait for everyone to hear the entire album from top to bottom, and I truly hope they can find a little of themselves and their own stories somewhere along the way in Spanish Moss.”

Spanish Moss's announcement comes just weeks after Swindell and his wife, Courtney Little, revealed that they’re expecting a baby.
Swindell is currently in New Zealand. He recently performed in Australia as part of CMC Rocks festival, and has been opening for Cody Johnson on his tour of Australia and New Zealand.
